An old man lies wounded in the foreground. His living environment has been totally disrupted - blown up - destroyed by terror. This image is a representation of a contemporary phenomenon, as is more common in war-torn or threatened areas. Suddenly, the world we live in is blown away. The image simultaneously symbolises man's helplessness - his loneliness - the injustice done to him. Especially to the elderly and children. The sudden collapse of certainties. This is man's existence - everything can change every day.
